We all have emotional attachments to some things and to some people. Jyotish gives us insights into this. Each of the 12 houses in our birth chart represent certain things and people in our life. For example, first house represents our self, our personality. Second house represents our speech, the food we eat and our family wealth. And so on…
Emotional attachment is seen from Moon in the chart. Whichever House the Moon is placed in our natal chart, the native has emotional attachment to that area of life. Let us take a couple of examples.
Example 1: Amma (Ma Amritanandamayi) Birth details: Sep 27, 1953. 9:09 am. Alleppi, India. See her chart below. Amma has her Moon in the 8th house. 8th House represents deep hidden wisdom and access to the esoteric realms that for most of us is a mystery. But Amma has easy access to that and her mind (Moon) is constantly absorbed in such things.
Example 2: Bruce Lee. Birth details: Nov 27, 1940. 7:12 am. San Francisco, California. As we see below, his Moon is in the 12th House. 12th House represents foreign places, foreign people, foreign culture. He was 100% vested in foreign country. He taught martial arts to foreigners and made his name in a foreign country.
How can we use this knowledge? When we know which area of life or which people we are emotionally connected to or vested in or attached to, a) we can keep an eye that we are not getting too emotional about those areas and 2) On the other hand knowing that we have emotional connection with those areas of life, we can nurture those gifts further in life.
